Hello Residents of Sembawang GRC,

I am Yadzeth Bin Hairis from National Solidarity Party (NSP), a business owner, giving a short message to our fellow Sembawang Residents.

I believe politics is a powerful avenue for addressing social injustices in labour, education, and commerce. It provides the necessary counterweights to ensure government actions and behaviour are held accountable. Sound politics is essential for the nation-building, and I firmly believe that every concerned citizen should engage with it in some capacity.

My involvement in politics feels like a natural progression of my values and aspirations. The NSP approach resonates with me deeply it is moderate yet constructive, serious minded yet inclusive. This aligns closely with my temperament and vision for meaningful change. I am confident that through NSP I can effectively address various social grievances and contribute to a better society.

Poorly drafted government policies can have a profoundly negative impact on the populace disrupting livelihoods, limiting access to opportunities and undermining public trust in institutions. Such policies often fail to address the real needs of the people, leaving many feelings alienated and frustrated. Unfortunately, the current level of public consultation remains insufficient, denying citizens the opportunity to contribute their perspectives and insights. This exclusion weakens not only the quality of the policies but also the relationship between the government and its people.

At present, the government appears increasingly autocratic, displaying scant respect for dissenting voices and constructive dialogue. The lack of transparency and engagement breeds a climate of distrust and apathy, which are detrimental to a thriving and equitable society. True progress requires that government prioritize accountability, open communication and meaningful public participation. Policies born out of collaborative efforts are more likely to be effective, equitable and embraced by the wider community.

To foster lasting trust and achieve meaningful nation-building, it is imperative to bridge the gap between the government and its citizens. By respecting diverse perspectives and incorporating them into policymaking governments can pave the way for a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.

I am dedicated to sincerely representing the aspirations, concerns, and fears of the Malay community and the nation. My goal is to ensure that democracy is not only upheld but deeply respected in every aspect of life in Singapore. I aspire to promote and showcase democratic values across diverse situations, fostering a culture where inclusivity and fairness thrive.

Once elected, my objective is to create an environment where policies are crafted through inclusive debates and public consultations. I aim to ensure that every citizen's voice is heard and valued in the decision-making process.

My vision is to advocate for transparency, accountability, and collaboration within the government.
