Dear residents of Sembawang GRC,

I am Lee Wei and I am humbled to be part of the NSP Team for Sembawang GRC.

Since I was young, I always have a strong belief in contributing to the community, in whatever small ways I can, to make our nation a better place to live in. Thus, I have chosen teaching as my profession, guiding the young minds of our future. After spending more than 10 years as a Senior Lecturer in an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL), I feel that it is time for me to step forward and serve in a more impactful manner. As such, I have decided to join the Sembawang GRC team as a candidate for this GE 2025.

Over the years, I have had opportunities to spend time with different sectors of our society. Through these valuable experiences, I have witnessed how the ever-increasing cost of living in Singapore has caused tremendous strain on people’s lives, especially the underprivileged groups in the community. I can truly empathise with the struggles that they are going through on a regular basis. I feel that we can do more to alleviate this issue and make Singapore more affordable.

Let’s make our nation a place for everyone, where we can build our dreams together. Let’s include all our fellow Singaporean brothers and sisters in our economic growth and national development. Let’s make this a home, truly.
